Our Company

Synapse Animation is a developer of visual effects tools for video post production. The company's core product, Synapse 3D Toolkit, is changing the way motion graphics artists work. Synapse also creates a wide variety of 3D content for customers around the globe. The company was established in 2005 by Doug Waters.

Doug Waters, Owner / Product Designer

Doug's education at RIT in computer science combined with his experience at Avid Technology assures that Synapse is well managed to serve customers for years to come. Doug is the product designer for Synapse 3D Toolkit and overseas all animation production work that comes in.

Sean Purser-Haskell, Software Engineer

Sean has been at Synapse Animation for over a year working on Synapse 3D Toolkit and other custom software development projects. Prior to this Sean worked at industry leader Avid Technology on computer vision development and rendering algorithm work at MIT.
