Q: What version of After Effects is required to run Synapse 3D Toolkit?
A: At present, Adobe After Effects CS4 is required. CS3 and older versions are not presently supported.

Q: Does Synapse 3D Toolkit run on both Mac and PC versions of After Effects?
A: Not currently but a Mac version is in development.

Q: What graphics cards are supported with Synapse 3D Toolkit?
A: Synapse 3D Toolkit relies on the graphics card’s GPU for rendering. Because of this, we recommend having a workstation graphics card. The NVidia Quadro FX line of graphics card has been certified. Our plugin has also been certified on the MacBook Pro.

Q: Why can I not purchase Synapse 3D Toolkit - Import?
A: There is presently an alpha demo release posted on the trial page. Once we receive user feedback and add additional features we will post a non-watermarked build for sale.

Q: What is Synapse Animation's policy on updates, bug fixes, etc?
A: All new releases of Synapse 3D Toolkit are free of charge, with the exception of new modules which may come in the future for Synapse 3D Toolkit. Our plan is to let you pick and choose additional modules to augment the functionality of Synapse 3D Toolkit.

Q: If I buy Synapse 3D Toolkit, is there a charge for support?
A: Absolutely not, support is completely free to valid license holders and most questions will be answered in 24 hours or less. The trial comes with installation support only. Email support@synapseanimation.com. Support is free of charge to anyone during the alpha release period.

Q: I have a new feature that I would like to see in a future release. Who do I send this to?
A: We are always trying to create better tools to help artists create great work. Please send an email to features@synapseanimation.com with your request. If you could provide additional details such as your workflow and a phone number, that would be helpful.

Q: Is Synapse Animation's renderer for After Effects available for licensing?
A: We will evaluate this on a case by case basis. Synapse has an SDK for our proprietary renderer which would allow developers to create their own 3D After Effects plugins. Please send an email to licensing@synapseanimation.com.
